Build Vernon County, Inc. is the nonprofit economic development organization for Nevada and Vernon County, serving as the region’s coordinated rural development hub. Build VC strengthens the local economy by supporting workforce development, small business and entrepreneurship, vibrant community initiatives, and business retention and attraction. Led by Tina Joy Cochran, Economic Development Director, the organization provides strategic planning, business outreach, research, and collaborative support to drive long-term growth and community renewal. Build VC operates as a public–private partnership funded by the City of Nevada, Vernon County, townships, grants, and private partners—creating a stable and united foundation for economic development across the county.
